Guidelines for Halloween Costumes

October 2022

Anyone may wear costumes to school on Monday, October 31st in recognition of Halloween.  (Staff too!)  If you do not want to wear a costume, you may wear a hat instead.

The following guidelines have been established.  Homeroom teachers are asked to review them with students and then post them in your room.

  1. Costumes must adhere to our safety and dress policy standards, including no tobacco, drug, alcohol, or explicit sexual references.

  1. Costumes must not replicate gang attire.

  1. No Halloween masks are to be worn. Masks following Covid-19 protocols are acceptable.

  1. No silly string or spray paint should be brought to school.

  1. No weapons, fake weapons or objects that may be used as weapons are permitted.

  1. Costumes must be in good taste and appropriate for students who are of middle school age.

If a student reports to school on Monday, October 31st in an inappropriate costume, teachers will send him/her to the Main Office.

Thanks again for your cooperation and support.
